In 2019, I was on a cruise from NYC to Canada. I visited several vegan restaurants while in port and I was thrilled to be able to offer competitive pricing to businesses located in New York, Bar Harbor, Maine, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Wherever I visit in Canada or the USA, I love sharing my business card and an opportunity to help a fellow business owner save money on their merchant processing. I might be a workaholic, but it’s because I love giving businesses a winning edge!
On March 15th, 2020 I planned to launch a new marketing campaign targeted towards restaurants and bars here in Los Angeles. As luck would have it, that was the same week Covid-19 restrictions hit LA.
Many of my appointments had to be canceled as businesses were suddenly forced to close. My grand plans to help so many businesses upgrade their credit card processing and improve their bottom line suddenly vanished. I had to learn the art of the pivot.
I’m now focused on growing this business neighborhood by neighborhood. I’m starting with where I live. The great thing about the way I created our business model is that it’s symbiotic.
Charity volunteers speak with their friends and neighbors who own businesses. I work with those business owners to create an enticing merchant processing package. When customers patronize the merchants on our network, we donate 10% of our processing fees to charity. Those charities serve the local communities we live in. Our community flourishes and the charity volunteers tell their friends to visit the local restaurants, bars, and businesses that are supporting their local community.
It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN opportunity for everyone involved. I’m located in Los Angeles and my local communities are Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, South Pasadena, Alhambra & Monterey Park.
As we enter the 4th quarter of 2020, I am focused on assisting the many entrepreneurs who are starting new businesses. I’m also dedicated to assisting the existing businesses that have survived the first 7 months of COVID-19 and are trimming the “fat” and running lean towards improved profits.
